The fund supports projects based on the following themes:

  • Fairer Communities – tackling poverty by sharing opportunities
  • Resilient Communities – capacity building, as well as repairing and rebuilding from the pandemic
  • Greener, Cleaner Communities – environmental action to support addressing climate change
  • Creative Communities – creativity for health and wellbeing.

Councillor Alastair Redman, Policy Lead for the Economy and Communities:

““We have dedicated active communities in Argyll and Bute who help bring people together, look after each other and improve the place where they live.

Rising costs and recovery from the impact of the pandemic continue to be challenging for lots of community groups. We hope that by opening up the Fund, we can provide an economic boost and help some of the fantastic work happening across our communities. ”
