CEX update: a great time for reflection

Today, I’m on my way to the last community planning partnership management committee meeting of the year. We’ve been working our way through the three outcome improvement priorities, housing, transport, and community well-being and today’s the turn of community well-being. It’s a term that means different things to different people and that’s something I know we’ll be exploring today as we consider what we can do as a partnership to deliver better outcomes for community well-being in our area.

It’s a great opportunity to sit down with colleagues from a whole range of different organisations and really focus on what actions we can take that shift the dial positively and deliver better outcomes for the people that we serve. I think it’s really important to have that reminder to focus on the tangible difference we can make. It’s all too easy to get caught up in the process and procedure and meetings that we all have to participate in as part of our day to day work, but sometimes we can lose sight of what we’re trying to achieve.

Once we have collated the actions from each of the three outcome sessions I’ll be sharing them more widely.

This is a time of year when lots of people reflect. So, as well as thinking about what we need to do next don’t forget to think about everything you’ve achieved this year – I know it’s a lot!
