Full Council met yesterday. The headline issue was the budget. I hope you have seen the Newsflash update yesterday that sets out the key points that have been agreed. I won’t repeat them, what I do want to do is to thank all of you who contribute to the process; it couldn’t happen without your hard work.
One of the other items on the agenda was the Council’s Annual Report 2023/24. There’s always a lag in our reporting but it was great to be able to remind the Council of all your great achievements and how that great work is continuing constantly. I’d recommend having a quick look at the report if you want a positive boost.
One of the things mentioned in the annual report that I highlighted to Council was our work on M365. You also often hear me talk about the benefits of partnership working. I’m pleased to say that the two have come together with the access we now have to a new Skills Hub, which is open to all M365 users in the council.
This has been possible in collaboration with the Digital Office Scottish Local Government as part of the M365 Cross Organisation Collaborative Programme. It means, you can now access a range of help and support to make the most from all the M365 tools and help your day-to-day work. It also means you can ask other users in a handy forum any questions you might have and learn from them about how using M365 can help you. This is a great example of two of our Connect for Success principles (Employee Empowerment) and Maximising Useful Technology.
