Connect for Success

CEX update – Making technology work for you

As we race through the weeks and months, it would be great to slow down time just a little bit. Sadly, we can’t do this but we do have the ability to save time during our working day and manage our daily tasks more easily.

One of the key principles in Connect for Success is how we maximise opportunities that technology offer. We were fortunate as a council to be ahead of the game during lockdown where the systems we already had in place enabled us to easily transition to hybrid working. We need to keep developing technology to help support and progress our work.

Our online office, Microsoft365 gives us a range of tools that will help us work smarter together and save time managing daily tasks. This fantastic platform is helping to change the way we work in the council and with our partners.

Many of you, myself included, are already seeing the benefits of using MS365. This includes reducing the number of emails you receive, minimising disruptions and working smarter across services.

Our new training programme AB365 is now available to book. Across four different modules, you’ll learn a new way of working that will bring multiple benefits to your working day. You can find out more information and book your place via MyCouncilWorks.

Community wellbeing

My podcast  this week focuses on an ambitious approach to understanding community wellbeing in Dunoon. Join me as I chat with Irene Beautyman from the Local Government Improvement Service about Shaping Places, a pilot programme that seeks to understand the ‘big picture’ and long-term change to community wellbeing. This innovative approach looks at preventative measures and intervention to improving the wellbeing of communities.

Wishing you all a great weekend.
