Getting some basics right will help you get a good level of response to your engagement exercise.

Showing people that the council puts the time they take to answer a consultation to good use is also key in encouraging people to continue answering council engagement exercises.

Knowing that it makes a difference is feedback we get often from people on what motivates them to get involved with engagement exercises. It's important therefore that you provide information on how you have put to good use the opinions, suggestions and views the public/employees give you. If you run a consultation on the council's website, you must provide feedback within 12 weeks of your consultation ending.
