COSLA update on pay offer – 3 October

Statement from COSLA

We want to make the new pay offer as clear as possible because we know some staff might still be unsure about what it means for them.

Our Union partners asked us to ensure that the deal focused on the lowest paid, whilst recognising that everyone deserves a pay rise. We have listened and offered a new pay deal that ensures everyone will benefit financially in 2023/24, and that no-one will be worse off than the original offer made in April.

This updated factsheet contains a selection of jobs, from the 1600 that are currently being advertised by councils. These examples are provided to show council employees across Scotland what the current pay offer from COSLA for 2023/24 would mean for them. Everyone will receive more money in-year and no-one will be worse off from what was originally offered in April.
