This leaflet gives an overview of the supporting attendance procedure, the expectations for both employee and manager during a sickness absence and what to expect from a supporting attendance meeting.

Phased Return to Work Procedure

If you have been absent from work due to sickness/ill health the phased return to work procedure can be used to support you to make a productive, efficient and effective return to work.

The Maximising Attendance at Work policy has been replaced by the new Supporting Attendance at Work policy as of 01/10/2021. Any formal attendance support that commenced before this date will continue to handled according to the previous Maximising Attendance Policy and Procedures.
