Free festive off-street parking for Argyll and Bute

Free parking

To help support local businesses and encourage local spending, all council off-street pay and display parking will be free across Argyll and Bute in the run up to Christmas from 11th to 24th December inclusive.

The move is part of ongoing measures from Argyll and Bute Council to support local employment and business recovery, by encouraging more people to shop local. They include the roll out of the Argyll and Bute gift card, available to spend in 300 businesses across the area.

Councillor Andrew Kain, Policy Lead for Roads and Transport:

“Our local independent businesses play a key role in supporting the local economy. By providing free parking, we hope residents will continue to show their support for local businesses and keep spending local.”
