Our Health and Safety Service is here to provide advice and support on all matters relating to health, safety and welfare in Argyll and Bute.

Corporate Health and Safety Policy
The Corporate policy sets out the Councils aims and objectives to keep a safe and healthy environment for Council employees and anyone else who could be affected by our work activities
Driving in bad weather guidance
Guidance on driving safely in bad weather conditions such as snow, ice, heavy rain, fog and at night
Driving at Work guidance
This guidance provides practical guidance for managing the risks associated with employees, members and volunteers who drive on council business
Lone working guidance
Some staff are required to work by themselves throughout the community without close or direct supervision, sometimes in isolated work areas or out of office hours. This Management Standard provides guidance on staying safe.
Smoking at work guidance
In accordance with legislation, Argyll and Bute Council has a total ban on smoking in all council properties, workplaces and vehicles
