I’ve been enjoying getting out and about again since restrictions started to lift and the one thing that never ceases to amaze me is the beauty of Argyll and Bute. Seriously, how many people can say they just pop to the beach to unwind after a hard day at work, or go wild swimming in crystal clear water?
These are the type of things that make Argyll and Bute so unique, and one of the reasons why we’re the most followed Scottish council on Instagram. But, Argyll and Bute’s population is declining so we need to keep promoting the area using #abplace2b on our social media posts, so we can let people see what a wonderful place we live in, and encourage them to move to the area.
Vaccinations
A large number of you will have had your Covid vaccination by now, but did you know you can sign up to an online Self Registration Portal if you’ve not already received it? Everyone who signs up will receive a text or email with details of their appointment which they can change if the time or location is unsuitable. The process is really straight forward, just visit https://www.nhsinform.scot/covid-19-vaccine/
Testing
Although Covid cases have levelled off in Scotland over the last few days, it’s vital that we all continue to do our bit to keep our communities safe. This means wearing a mask, sanitising your hands regularly and adhering to relevant social distancing advice. People are also being encouraged to get tested, even if they have no symptoms or have already been vaccinated, to help reduce infection rates. It’s really easy to arrange a test – from ordering free home kits to dropping into a testing centre. You can find more on our website.
Finally, I’d like to thank you for all your hard work as always and hope you have a lovely weekend.
