Creating your ad on MyJobScotland
As one of the main ways in which potential candidates find out about job roles, what it’s like to work with us and information on living and working in Argyll and Bute, it’s important we share the right information in all ads. We want to tell people about the role but also about our working culture and why working with us is so important.

Writing your ad
Tone: should be professional, informative and friendly.
Content: only enter information relating to the vacancy, covering the areas detailed below and ensure no employee names are entered.
There are 7 pieces of information that should be included.
Provide a short introduction, maximum 3 sentences, to give an overview of the role.
For example ‘We would love to welcome a xxxxxxx to join our friendly team in working for Argyll and Bute, one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. Let us tell you about why this could be a great move for you.
