Who we are and how we work
Argyll and Bute Council is one of Scotland’s largest local authorities by area, with around 5,000 employees working across more than 300 locations.

Onboarding and what to expect
Your onboarding is about more than completing paperwork, it is about helping you feel confident, connected and ready to succeed in your role.
Before your first day, you will complete some pre‑boarding activity to make sure the essentials are in place. At the same time, your manager and team are preparing to welcome you.
Over your first few months, you will be supported through a structured onboarding process, including learning and development via our LEON platform. This is your opportunity to build relationships, understand how we work, and develop the skills you need to thrive.
