AB RecognitionThanks to everyone who has nominated colleagues to receive recognition for the contribution they are making. During April to June 2026 individuals and teams from across our services were nominated to receive recognition from senior management.

Commercial Services

The Kilmory Canteen Team

The team was nominated for delivering outstanding customer service through a strong One Council approach, providing a welcoming, high-quality canteen service that consistently goes above and beyond for customers and colleagues.

Customer Support Services 

An OD Project Officer and an OD Project Assistant were nominated for developing and piloting employee-led communities for Veterans and LGBTQ+ staff, helping people connect, feel heard and influence positive change so everyone can be their best at work.

The HROD Departmental Support team was nominated for supporting the council through the 2026/27 budget-setting process, ensuring managers were confident, statutory duties were met and staff changes were implemented smoothly and consistently.

A HR Lead Adviser – Attendance and Wellbeing was nominated for providing support to managers and employees through attendance processes, ensuring policies were followed fully during a prolonged and challenging period.

A Clerical Assistant was nominated for patiently sharing knowledge and guidance on unfamiliar tasks, helping work be completed effectively while strengthening teamwork and collaboration.

Members of the Organisational Development Project Office were nominated for successfully delivering a complex phase of the Performance Excellence Project, creating a performance framework and resources while adapting to changing strategic priorities.

An Administrative Assistant was nominated for consistently demonstrating professionalism, proactivity and high-quality work while going above and beyond to support others and showing strong potential for further development.

An HROD Assistant – Departmental Support was nominated for leading on a complex ASN and classroom assistant allocation process, providing reliable, data-driven support while ensuring fair, consistent HR practice and minimal disruption to schools.

Development and Economic Growth

A Business Support Officer was nominated for driving digital innovation in the Business Gateway team, using technology, data, AI, and social media to improve ways of working, support colleagues and deliver better outcomes for clients.

HSCP

A Social Work Assistant was nominated for putting clients first during staff shortages, supporting colleagues and going above and beyond to meet the needs of the service and those it supports.

Children and families Social Work team – Dunoon & Bute

The team was nominated for demonstrating resilience and professionalism during prolonged staff shortages, delivering strong outcomes for children and families while maintaining policies, supporting colleagues across locations and managing increased workloads collaboratively.

Together with an Admin Officer, the team was nominated for their dedication during prolonged staff shortages and the outstanding collaborative support provided in helping colleagues confidently navigate a new system while going above and beyond day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Legal and Regulatory Support Services

A Council Officer was nominated for consistently going above and beyond in supporting colleagues, bringing positivity, dedication and a willingness to help that will be greatly missed as they retire.

Roads and Infrastructure Services

An Administrative Officer was nominated for going above and beyond arranging Additional Support Needs transport, finding creative, future‑focused solutions while working collaboratively to meet complex needs.
