At Argyll and Bute Council we aim to help you enhance your existing knowledge and skills, enabling you to do your best in your role and supporting the people in our area. We provide corporate Learning and Development solutions centrally and service areas focus on team-specific needs. Blended learning is the basis for our delivery – incorporating virtual workshops, e-learning, videos and other resources. ​

E-learning can be accessed on LEON, our online Learning Management system. Learners can view their full training history and book training courses on Myview

Learning Agreement

Employees undertaking substantial study e.g. SVQ, HNC/HND, diploma, degree, post-graduate should complete a learning agreement.  This form establishes a contractual agreement between Argyll and Bute Council and the employee undertaking the study. The employee and their manager must complete the form and for courses organised by the service they should retain for their records.  For courses organised by Talent and performance learning agreements must be completed and returned to trainingcentre@argyll-bute.gov.uk.
