The council’s Policy Lead for Business Development, Councillor Math Campbell-Sturgess said:
“Local businesses are vital to our communities. They create jobs, which can help reduce unemployment and improve economic stability, and offer unique products that aren’t necessarily available elsewhere. The money spent in local businesses also stays in the local economy.
“Local businesses also create a sense of community and bring people together, so we must do what we can to support them, even more so during the quieter winter months. The Argyll and Bute Gift Card is an excellent way to do this and, with over 300 businesses to choose from, the lucky recipient won’t be short of choices for where to spend it.”
