From time to time the Training Centre is offered fully funded places for employees to undertake a professional qualification. These opportunities are offered to the workforce via the council’s communication channels when they are made available.
Modern Apprenticeships
Modern Apprentices are a great way learn on the job – gaining skills, experience and qualifications that’ll kick-start your career. You’ll learn real-life industry skills while you work towards a qualification that’s accredited by the SQA. There are a number of Modern Apprenticeship frameworks available at a variety of levels so there is likely to be one that suits your needs.
Graduate Apprenticeships
A graduate apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to work towards a degree using the work you do as evidence to demonstrate your competence. More information on Graduate Apprenticeships

If there is a requirement for project management qualifications, the cost requires to be met by services.
PDA in Project Management
This is recommended for employees who manage and / or lead projects but do not need the formal Prince2 accreditation. It is provided by the Improvement Service and the Organisational Development team will liaise to arrange places. Learners need an active project to undertake this course.
