For all non-teaching staff
Following the recent agreement on the 2025/26 and 2026/27 pay rises for non-teaching staff set under the Scottish Joint Council on Pay (SJC) and Chief Officers Group, I am pleased to confirm that you will receive both your new pay rate and backdated pay for 2025/26 in September.
The two-year deal covering 2025/26 and 2026/27, as agreed with unions, includes a 4% pay rise this year, backdated to 1 April 2025, and a further 3.5% increase from 1 April 2026. This covers all Council employees except teachers whose settlement for 2025/26 and 2026/27 has still to be agreed. We will of course, let you know once there is an agreed outcome.
The Payroll Team is working hard to process all the payments. They are unable to answer individual enquiries about the amount of back pay you will receive prior to payment.
