It is part of the ‘Connect for Success’ programme which is all about developing new ways of working that make it easier for us all to get things done.
Services across the council are involved in delivering individual projects of different kinds. They all need funding, and can take considerable staff time and effort to deliver. The Pipeline of Projects approach allows us to co-ordinate projects to help ensure that they support the council’s overall aims for the area, and are deliverable within time, resource and other constraints. It will also support a proactive approach to making best use possible of internal and external funding opportunities.
We have produced corporate project templates, and a project approvals process to help services develop and progress a project. Services taking this consistent way of working will give us an up-to-date picture of project demands on staff, and will help us all reach decisions on how any project funding opportunities should best be used.

Help with engaging with communities
What information or support would be useful for you in engaging with our communities?
Getting views and in-put from communities is an important part of services reaching decisions about the council’s work.
To make it as easy as possible for employees to engage effectively, we are putting together a community engagement framework. This will include information about steps to take, and support available for you.
We want to make sure that the framework is practical, and includes information useful to you. To make this possible, please take just a few minutes to answer this short survey.
