Replacing our HR and Payroll system

Connect for success

As part of our Connect for Success change programme, we continue to look at ways to make every day work easier. This includes improving our processes and systems, and having the right technology and tools in place to help us become more agile.

Earlier this year, we let you know that we are working to upgrade our HR and payroll system. This follows feedback from many of you who asked for an easier system to manage everyday HR tasks in the one place.

When launched, next year, iTrent will give you a self-service, one-stop shop for all your HR needs. It replaces MyView and MyOptions. With everything in one central place and one login process, the new system will save time, make it easier to process and view everything you need, from recruitment to retirement.

What else is available on iTrent?

  • Authorise payroll claims
  • Authorise leave/payroll requests
  • Book annual leave and other leave
  • Check payslips
  • Submit payroll claims
  • Review and update personal details

Accessing iTrent is easy via any PC, laptop, tablet, Smart phone or Smart TV, from any location providing you have your login details and internet access.

What happens next?

Since our last update in September, the initial design and build is complete and we are gathering feedback from many of you to discuss our current HR/Payroll processes. This feedback is crucial to help create a user-friendly and efficient system.

We are now in a testing phase from November until late January to ensure the system works effectively to support different aspects of working for the council.

In early summer 2024, we will invite you to training sessions for you to see how iTrent works.

We will keep you updated on the next phase.
