Two week’s Parental Bereavement Leave is available for all for employees who have lost a pregnancy,  or a child up to the age of 18.  Information on the policy and how to apply is available below, together with details of support services which may be helpful.

Normal opening hours for Council Offices are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, except Public Holidays (see below for public holiday lists).

Please note that some offices/schools may have different opening hours or Public Holidays to those outlined in the attachments. Please contact the appropriate office/school for specific details.

Public Holiday Dates

Time off for dependants domestic emergencies procedure – This allows employees to take a short amount of unpaid time off – one or two days – during working hours, when it is reasonable for them to do so, in order to deal with ‘domestic incidents’.
