Every day we use social media to stay in touch with family and friends and increasingly to stay up to date with news and join in conversations about things that matter the most to us. Understanding this, the Education team are taking a new approach when it comes to connecting with parents, teachers and young people across Argyll and Bute.
Making the most of the right technology the team are putting colleagues in front of the camera to create engaging, informative and easy to understand video content for social media, meeting people where they are to share information.
As a new way of working for the team, the aim is to put faces to the many people that work behind the scenes across the service and provide a personable and direct way to reach out and speak about important topics.
Although in its early stages the hope is that this new way of working will develop to inspire and engage with people across the area and be a helpful resource for our communities.
