The Link is our sounding board, a unique place to share your projects, plans and proposals at any stage of development to gain insight, thoughts and feedback from a diverse group of colleagues.
Welcoming and informal, The Link helps connect your ideas with insightful feedback and can support with:
- Sense checking proposals
- Getting a steer on a pilot plan
- Problem solving
- Helping to chat through an idea before further development
- Supporting you to make decisions by sharing constructive thoughts
Think of it as your friendly go-to group to bounce ideas off.
How does it work?
- The Link group meet 5 times per year – February, April, June, August and October for one hour on Teams.
- At each meeting the group chats about the proposal or plans that have been put forward. There is also opportunity to come along and talk to the group or present your work if you’d like to.
- After the group have discussed your topic all comments and feedback will be gathered and shared with you.

For those who have a hybrid or remote working pattern you might particularly benefit from the informal nature of sharing your ideas with the group, in lieu of traditional office feedback or incidental discussion on a particular project.
Would you like to be a member of The Link sounding board group?
If you work for Argyll and Bute Council then you are eligible to join and we welcome people from all locations, roles and levels of experience. It’s a great way to be part of a council-wide group, developing your skills and experience with us, while making a positive difference to how we work.
Members are currently being appointed for June 2025 – June 2026 and we will be asking new members to join at the start of 2026 for the period June 2026 – June 2027.
