But how do we stay on the front foot with these changes? Connect for Success. Our internal transformation initiative is about creating a thriving culture that helps us do our jobs.
And how do we do that? By recognising and developing our people across the council, supported by the right technology and focused on our shared purpose to make Argyll and Bute the place to be.
We know the challenges we face and the difficult financial decisions affecting how we operate across the whole council. But despite this, we have provided services to the best of our abilities and we believe that continuing to develop how we work in 7 key areas will help us deliver what’s needed, today and in the future.
Why is Connect for Success important?
Connect for Success is important because it's about taking a look at how we all work together during challenging times and asking - how can we help make things better or easier in how we do our jobs? How can we make changes, big and small, that help us deliver services? What is needed today but also in the future? These are important questions that we've been focused on answering since we launched Connect for Success in 2022. Together, we'll continue to put new ideas into action and work together to make our wonderful Argyll and Bute the place to be.
