Information for sounding board members

Members

The Link sounding board members are employees of Argyll and Bute Council who volunteer their time to contribute ideas, thoughts and opinions on topics provided by colleagues.

In this role you will be vital in helping us develop how we work together, bring projects and plans to life and be part of shaping how we deliver what’s needed.

What’s involved?

  • Be part of a group of 12-15 Argyll and Bute Council employees who meet 5 times per year via Teams for approximately one hour
  • There is also an additional one hour of time required between each meeting to read about the topic that will be discussed
  • Join a relaxed ‘meet and greet’ induction session via Teams in June (date tbc). This will inform your understanding of what being part of the group involves and give you time to ask any questions and meet other members
  • Attend as many of the 5 meetings per year as possible. They will take place in February, April, June, August and October with dates to be confirmed
  • Suggested future meeting dates for 2025:
    Thursday 19th June at 1pm
    Thursday 21st August at 1pm
    Thursday 30th October at 1pm
  • Contribute your views and experiences
  • We ask that you be a member for one year then give up your spot so someone else has the opportunity to join The Link
  • Members can opt-out at any stage.
